Win tickets to see insane drifting by Mad Mike

Fanatics will be thrilled to see Mad Mike do the impossible in his 2004 Mazda RX 8.

The more challenging the terrain, the more fascinated Mad Mike Whiddett is and the more he wants to drift on, over, down or across it.

Motorsports’ Mad Mike heads to Carnival City on September 23 and 24 where he will be exciting local drifting enthusiasts in the SupaDrift Series in Carnival City’s parking lot.

The SupaDrift Series is the new motorsport combining the best elements of drifting and world class eventing.

The drifting scene in South Africa is an ever-growing one and fanatics will be thrilled to see Mad Mike do the impossible in his 2004 Mazda RX 8.

This machine, crazy as its driver, is kitted out with the best products on the market, high horse-power and slaying sound, making it something special to see and hear.

A crowd of over 10 000 is expected at this event, also known as the “sideways-craze”.

Mad Mike will not only be the celebrity judge in the competition, but will also perform some chilling drifting demos himself.

His tour to South Africa involves developing this sport and its drivers in the country.

Mad Mike hails from New Zealand where he has drifted a car up a mountain range.

He has power-slid across a frozen lake in Japan and will now film an episode of his reality series Mad Mike Mad Life in South Africa.

“I’ve heard so much about the South African fans and I can’t wait to get out there,” said Whiddett.

“I’ve seen the local SA drift scene in clips and it looks like a whole lot of fun.

“I’m pumped to showcase what the Mazda RX8 is capable of and meet the fans first hand.”

Gates open two hours before the start of the show, which begins at noon on Friday and 11am on Saturday.
