Ready to shred tyres
Drifters from all over the country are expected to make their way to the circuit.
A smoky, tyre-shedding spectacle is expected when the sixth round of the South African Drift Championships comes to the Rock Raceway in Brakpan on August 4.
As the drift season reaches its halfway mark, the top point-scoring drifters will be gunning to chase down each and every championship point on offer before the season is finalised.
Ultimately, it will be the judges who will determine who claims the coveted podium places, particularly in the all-out drift battle in the Gold Cup Elimination Division.

All is not lost for the competitors who do not qualify to compete in the Gold Cup as there will be a Silver Cup Elimination Division that will ensure drifters get a second go at impressing the judges and fans.
Patrons can make their way to the venue when the gates open from 10am, with drifting practice for the best part of the day before drifting starts at 4pm.
