SA one victory away from glory
The home side were far too good for their opponents.
South Africa’s women rugby team is one win away from qualifying for the 2021 World Cup in New Zealand. This is after the Springboks impressed in two qualifying matches at the Bosman Stadium.
South Africa kicked off the qualifiers by crushing Uganda 89-5, last Friday.
They followed that performance up by running in 13 tries in a 73-0 thumping of Madagascar on Tuesday.

The home side were far too good for their opponents as lock Rights Mkhari scored a hattrick of tries in the first half. Snenhlanhla Shozi scored twice in the same period as the Boks led 44-0 at halftime.
The other first half tries were scored by fullback Eloise Webb, Aseza Hele and Ayanda Malinga.
More misery was piled on Madagascar in the second half as more tries came through for South Africa.
Centre Zintle Mphupha scored early in the second half as the Boks remained relentless. Malinga completed her brace shortly afterwards as Madagascar remained on the back foot.

Hele also scored her second try while substitute Aphiwe Ngwevu also dotted down twice in the second half.
The win means that the one qualifying spot available at the tournament which be between Kenya and the Springboks.
Kenya beat Madagascar on Friday and then won 37-5 against Uganda on Tuesday, also at Bosman Stadium.
The two teams will face off on Saturday for a place in New Zealand.

“There were people who said from the outset it would be between us and Kenya for that spot, and it has come down that. So it is now up to us to go out there and perform on Saturday,” said South Africa’s coach Stanley Raubenheimer.
The coach was also pleased with his charges performance after Tuesday’s match.
“It was pleasing result and it was good to see how the things we worked on during the week came together. With 13 tries, there is little to complain about, so I am happy,” he said.
