International tribute to Simon and Garfunkel
In celebration of 50 years since Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel recorded their first number one hit single, The Sound of Silence, Emperors Palace and Easy Theatres, in association with Maple Tree Entertainment, will bring The Simon and Garfunkel Story to the Theatre of Marcellus from November 18 to December 6.
The tribute show will tell the story of the folk/rock duo whose iconic music set the soundtrack to the ’60s.
It will take audiences through Simon and Garfunkel’s humble beginnings as rock ’n roll duo Tom and Jerry, to their various albums and massive success.
The show will also feature the duo’s dramatic break up and solo careers, and will finish with a stunning recreation of the 1981 Central Park reformation concert.
Described by “The Stage” as “authentic and exciting”, the show will feature incredible performances by a live band of all their greatest hits, which are bound together with original photos and film footage.
Fans will get a blast from the past and relive Simon and Garfunkel’s greatest hits, including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound and many more.
The show will be performed from November 18 to December 6, Wednesdays to Saturdays at 8pm and on Sundays at 3pm.
