Carnival City increases the fun factor for young children

Let your children have fun at no cost.

Aligned with its characteristic family friendly ethos, Carnival City is transforming various spaces within the complex to optimise the fun factor for young people.

Recently unveiled is an exciting, grassed children’s outdoor play area with modern climbing frames, in Carnival City’s Pocket Park.

Replacing the miniature golf course in the park, just outside the Magic Company, the playground is a welcome diversion for young visitors.

The brightly coloured, circling structures feature obstacles for children to climb and slides to zoom down, while parents take a breather on one of the benches.

There is no cost to scramble and climb in the Pocket Park and refreshments and meals are available at the nearby Wimpy.

From December 10 until January 10, 2016, free circus workshops for children will be staged daily (except Christmas Day) from noon to 5pm, at the circus tent across from the Pocket Park. Youngsters can learn to fly the trapeze, walk the tightrope, tumble on the trampoline, juggle and so much more.

“We are very excited about the playground in our Pocket Park, as well as the other facilities and activities we have extended for younger visitors,” said Annemie Turk, Carnival City’s general manager.

“Exciting, robust, colourful and challenging, the climbing frames and slides offer young children a place to expend some of their energy outdoors.

”The revitalized Pocket Park is part of our promise to deliver a diverse range of entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages.”
