Transformers Animatronics
Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and the Rescue Bots will invade the African continent for the first time in Transformers Animatronics, at Emperors Palace. This travelling exhibition of international standards will feature 12 animated Transformers, nine sculptures made from car parts and scaled between 2m and 11m, and a further 20 statues varying in size. The exhibition can be viewed from 10am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday.

Drift Championship
The second round of the South African Drift Championship will take place at The Rock Raceway. Gates open at 10am with practice sessions for drifters and the qualifying round. Comedy show
Blacks Only kicks off 2017 with the latest relevant theme, Blacks Only Comedy Capture. Comedian David Kau will reprise his role as MC for the event, which will take place in the Centre Court, at Emperors Palace, on Saturday, March 4. The evening will also showcase award-winning comedians as well as some fresh talent. The show starts at 8pm.

EFC 57
The EFC 57 main card features many of the organisation’s biggest names. EFC 57 will take place at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena at 16.45pm.

Royal Moscow Ballet
Royal Moscow Ballet will be returning to South Africa with a programme paying tribute to the great Russia composers, Sergei Rachmaninov, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Aleksander Borodin. The ballet will be performed in the Theatre of Marcellus, at Emperors Palace.

All-4-One
Grammy Award winning group All-4-One will perform at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena at 8pm. All-4-One continues to tour around the world with the same four original members -Tony Borowiak, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez and Jamie Jones.

Pixies SA tour
Marking their first visit to South Africa, rock icons Pixies will headline the inaugural “Rock on the Lawns” music festival on the Festival Lawns at Carnival City. Pixies will be supported by Springbok Nude Girls, Prime Circle, aKing, CrashCarBurn, Shortstraw, The Sweet Resistance and The Robfather (DJ).

Afrikaans Karnaval
Dewald Wasserfall will be performing in Carnival City’s all new Afrikaans Karnaval, sharing the stage with some of South Africa’s best. Also in the mix for the event are Karlien van Jaarsveld, Tripple 3 (Dozi, Jannie Moolman, Pieter Smith), Lianie May and many more. The Big Top Arena’s doors open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm.
