Vermeulen’s new double album comprises 10 power songs and 30 stories guaranteeing listening pleasure.
Enigmatic South African performer and storyteller Andries Vermeulen brings to Carnival City a live showcase of his greatest hits and best stories from his new album, In Afrikaans.
Fans can sing along to these as well as enjoy some amazing storytelling by Vermeulen himself at the Mardi Gras Theatre on Saturday.
“This is definitely my best compilation of stories and music yet,” said Vermeulen.

“The stories on the album will make you laugh but also remember the good days gone by.”
He explains the storytelling on the album will make you forget about your problems and reflects the nostalgia brought about when stories are told in Afrikaans.
For many, Vermeulen has simply been a face on television where he and Pietman Geldenhuys present the popular Afrikaans show Oppiestoep on KykNET, hosting interesting guests from all over South Africa.
Vermeulen’s previous album, Kô lag ’n bietjie, sold over 24 000 copies and remained on the Top 20 Sellers for six consecutive weeks in 2016.
This album also won a KykNET Ghoema Award for the best humour album in 2016 and was nominated for a Huisgenoot Tempo Award.
