Mgongo outreach highlights power of giving back

Village of Hope, with help from donors and volunteers, continues to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

Brakpan-based Village of Hope, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in informal settlements, successfully conducted a community outreach on April 15 in the Mgongo informal settlement near Brakpan North.

According to the NPO’s founder Tumie Masolane, during the outreach, meals were provided to community members as part of the organisation’s ongoing feeding programme aimed at assisting vulnerable families and children.

This outreach forms part of Village of Hope’s mission to support communities through feeding initiatives and social development.

Village of Hope extends sincere appreciation to Logan Naina from Rise Against Hunger under Inner Voice Foundation, Mama Nompumelelo Ndaba, Phamotse Mohapi, and Pick n Pay Mall@Carnival for their generous support and contributions.

Appreciation is also extended to the Mgongo CPF for their presence and assistance during the outreach.

“Special recognition goes to the Village of Hope team, including Tlhokomelo Masolane and Georginah Matla, for their dedication and commitment to serving the community,” said Tumie.

Village of Hope remains committed to supporting vulnerable children and families and continues preparations for its upcoming School Winter Drive, which aims to provide warm school clothing to children in need during the winter season.

The NPO welcomes continued support from community members and local businesses willing to partner in making a difference in the lives of children in need.
