More than networking: Expo offers practical business insights

Interactive demonstrations, expert presentations and wellness activities will complement the supplier showcases at the Connection Hub Small Business Expo.

Visitors to the Connection Hub Small Business Expo will be able to meet, network, support, and be entertained by local small businesses on July 3 at the Brakpan Rugby Club.

Besides meeting and networking with new suppliers, visitors can also partake in a variety of activities at the event.

The preliminary programme of the day is exciting and includes:

  • Free wellness checks are done throughout the day by Life Dalview Hospital personnel.
  • Caxton Media will present the Roots marketing seminar at 10:00.

The hour-long session will include highly valuable marketing information for business owners, marketing managers, and decision-makers.

She will demonstrate how to make interesting but different refreshments with coffee as an ingredient.

  • Breathwork practitioner, Carol-Lee Alberts, will hold a demonstration at 13:00 on how breathwork sessions and workshops can assist individuals and teams in managing their stress, gain clarity, and show up calmer and focused.

Other activities for the day are also planned and will be finalised closer to the time.

“There happens to be a big focus on employee wellness at the expo with a variety of wellness coaches, recruiters, and skills development.

“There are also vendors offering high-quality refreshment opportunities for the office, and mouthwatering catering ideas,” said Mientjie Kleinhans, co-founder of Connection Hub.

“The marketing and financial departments of corporate companies will also be able to network with marketing companies and suppliers, financial tutoring, and services,” added Jeanette Minderon, co-founder of Connection Hub.

Other vendors to meet at the expo include plumbers, electricians, jewellery suppliers, pet-related product suppliers, and essential oil suppliers to keep the office smelling refreshed and inviting.

People interested in engineering projects and fleet management are also encouraged to visit the vendors who specialise in these fields.

“It doesn’t matter in which department you work, there is bound to be a vendor with a solution for you,” said Minderon.

“On top of meeting new suppliers and supporting small businesses, there is the great food and refreshments that will be supplied on the day by the Brakpan Rugby Club,” Kleinhans continued.

Everybody is invited to the event, and entry is free. All you need to do is register in advance to avoid the queue on the day.
