Another man was shot during a house robbery in the Carletonville area this week.

This crime took place on October 10. A resident of Summer Place in Blyvooruitzicht was at home getting ready for work. He opened his door at about 02:00 and immediately saw three unknown men outside.

The thugs, who were all masked and armed, ordered him back into his room and demanded money.

They then tied him up and grabbed his Nokia cellphone as well as all the money with him.

The criminals then proceeded to the room next to his.

The first victim heard his neighbour blow a whistle and refuse to open the door. He then heard two shots going off and the criminals running away.

After he managed to free himself, the first victim went to check on his neighbour and found that he had been shot in the neck.
Community members rushed him to Carletonville Hospital.
