Carletonville MMA fighter in pro fight

The fight will be broadcast live.

A professional mixed martial arts fighter from Carletonville, Charmaine Venter, will take on another opponent in the coming week.

Charmaine (32), a member of the Fight St Club in Carletonville, will come up against Dayne van Wyk from Pretoria on November 5.

This EFC 139 match will take place at the EFC Performance Institute in Sandton.

This will be Charmaine’s second professional fight after she triumphed over Nepal’s Anisha Khadka in July.

Charmaine says she is looking forward to the clash.

“One works very hard to reach one’s goals, and it will be good to see how far I came,” she says.

According to her coach, Shihan Chimmy van Winkel, fighters and their coaches will always stress a bit before a big clash. He added that Charmaine is a big inspiration for girls at the club, and it shows that women do not have to stand back for anyone.
