Herald columnist launches own book
Alone Pilusa, who has been a weekly columnist for the Herald since 2017, is launching his own book this weekend.
“I discovered a love for writing after people started stopping me in the street and complimenting me on my column,” says the 34-year-old Pilusa, who is also well-known as the CEO of the local radio station Merafong FM.
His new book, called “Your Dream Matters”, consists of about 200 pages of motivation writing. According to Pilusa, he also wants his book to be a motivation to others, especially schoolchildren.
“What many people do not realize is that I spent my early childhood in a very rural area that is very different from where I am now. We spent the time after school looking after cattle. I came to merafong with only a dream in 2011,” he says.
According to Pilusa he wants to, amongst other things, identify ten young people from the area who want to become writers and help them obtain their goals. He also plans for the book’s launching to be a great networking opportunity.
