Kokosi to host SkrubTious Fashion Week

Local designer KLAGGY is creating a platform for aspiring fashion designers from across Merafong to showcase their talent and inspire creativity.

Fashion enthusiasts from Kokosi and surrounding towns are looking forward to an upcoming fashion showcase.

The SkrubTious Fashion Week, presented by KLAGGY, will take place at the corner of Serobatsi and Ben Shiburi streets in Kokosi on August 29.

According to the organiser and fashion designer, KLAGGY, the event is open to everyone.

“It is all about upcoming fashion designers. It’s a platform to encourage and motivate designers to believe in their styles and their work. In Kokosi, there is great potential for designers to create their own garments from scratch, but many are not motivated or are still afraid to embrace their own niche. As a result, they remain hidden,” says KLAGGY.

“I am taking all the risks to show aspiring designers that you can live your dream with the little you have. They should stop hiding and start sharing their talent with the world,” he adds.

Five designers from across Merafong have already confirmed their participation.

KLAGGY says he has dreamed of becoming a runway designer and has been planning the event for the past three years.

“I design oversized, baggy and comfortable garments for people who want to stand out while feeling confident in what they wear. Inspired by urban culture, music, youth creativity and everyday street life, I combine relaxed silhouettes with bold design elements to create clothing that represents individuality and authenticity,” he explains.

His target market includes young adults and teenagers, streetwear enthusiasts, creatives, artists, musicians and entrepreneurs. His designs are ideal for people who appreciate relaxed, oversized fashion and value comfort and self-expression.

Anyone who would like more information about the designer or the event can contact him on 063 755 0399.
