A young woman was arrested after allegedly trying to murder her grandmother over the past weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday 25 May at around 15:30.
The 75-year-old grandmother, who stays in Blybank, called the police after her 20-year-old granddaughter allegedly tried to smother her with a cushion.
The granddaughter (20) allegedly also broke items in the house.
She was arrested on charges of attempted murder and malicious damage to property. She appeared in the Oberholzer Magistrates Court on Monday.
