Wedela police and CPF reach out

The churchgoers were taught about domestic violence and other problems.

Members of the police in Wedela and their Community Policing Forum visited a church in the area last week.

According to the Wedela SAPS Social Crime Prevention officer, Sgt Zikhona Sifuba, they visited the Carletonville Gospel Believe Church on Sunday, 26 May.

The Wedela CPF Chairperson, Ms Nozizwe Maphomolo, also attended. Sifuba talked to the churchgoers about domestic violence and gender-based violence and also thanked the congregation for allowing the outreach and the opportunity to worship with them.

A total of 110 people were reached during the action.
