Fochville WeRun celebrates 100th event with fun run, prizes, and boerie rolls

Fresh pannekoek and coffee will also be on sale to mark the special occasion.

The Fochville WeRun is holding its 100th event on November 8, and invites everyone who wants to stretch their legs to enter.

The WeRun was started in Fochville towards the end of the Covid-19 lockdown to give those who want to exercise in the fresh air the opportunity to do so. Since then, a group of enthusiastic runners and walkers has met at the Gert van Rensburg Stadium every Saturday.

On November 8, the centenary event will start at 07:00 and participants can choose whether they want to walk or run 2.5km or 5km routes.

There will be free boerie rolls for everyone who takes part, while participants can also buy fresh pannekoek and coffee.

A local business has also sponsored R2 000 worth of prizes for the special day.
