A Khutsong Ext 5 family had a harrowing experience after masked gunmen stormed their home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 39-year-old homeowner was asleep in her bedroom at around 2:15 on January 31 when she heard a suspicious noise coming from the kitchen.

Two men, wearing masks and gloves, burst into the house brandishing firearms.

The intruders, who spoke Fanagalo, cornered the woman and demanded money. When she told them she didn’t have any cash, the suspects began ransacking the property.

They grabbed cellphones and clothing before fleeing the scene. Police have confirmed they are investigating a case of house robbery.
