Carletonville man robbed at gunpoint in Bluebell Street near R501

38-year-old assaulted and robbed of cellphone while walking to work in Carletonville.

A resident was robbed while walking on a street close to the R501 this week.

The man (38) was walking in Bluebell Street on his way to work at about 13:45 on February 10. Two unknown men suddenly walked up to him.

One of the men, who spoke Sesotho, pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the resident.

The thugs demanded his cellphone, and when he tried to resist, they started to assault him. They then searched him, grabbed his cellphone, and ran away.

He went to Carletonville Hospital for treatment and then reported the crime to the police in Carletonville.
