The U9 rugby team from Jongspan Primary School recently delivered an outstanding performance in the Golden Lions Primary Schools Rugby League. Under the guidance of coach Marinus Lazenby, the young team showcased their skill and determination throughout the competition.

Jongspan secured their spot in the semifinals after a convincing 38–24 win against Randpark Ridge Primary School. This match set the stage for an exciting clash, with Jongspan advancing to the semifinal to face Curro Krugersdorp at Hoërskool Florida.

In a tightly contested match, Jongspan narrowly lost to Curro with a close score of 15–17.

Despite the narrow defeat, the team’s journey through the tournament has been nothing short of inspirational, drawing praise from parents, staff, and the broader community. Their sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication have made Jongspan Primary incredibly proud.
