Beat Box Dance Studio dancers qualify for Team South Africa

Next stop: Spain 2026 for the global stage!

Carletonville’s Beat Box Dance Studio has achieved national acclaim, with dancers selected to represent South Africa at the international championships in Spain 2026.

After months of hard work, long rehearsals, and passion-fueled training, the talented dancers of Beat Box Dance Studio impressed judges at the Talent Africa Nationals 2025, held on October 6 in Vereeniging. Their high-energy performances, creative choreography, and team spirit secured them places on Team South Africa — a significant milestone for the studio and the Carletonville community.

Studio director Delarize Verwey expressed immense pride in the dancers, calling the experience a major breakthrough:

“This is a dream come true for our studio. Our dancers have worked incredibly hard to get here, and being chosen to represent South Africa is a true testament to their commitment and love for dance. We can’t wait to show the world what Beat Box is made of!”

🏆 Results that speak for themselves

Several dancers earned top national honours, standing out in competitive solo and duet categories:

  • Mia van der Merwe, Vuyelwa Mabaso, and Amoré Viviers each received platinum awards for their exceptional hip hop and acro solos.

  • Amoré Viviers and Milandrei Matthysen teamed up to earn gold for their duet performance.

  • Maroché Kasser wowed judges with two modern solos, securing gold and silver.

  • Milandrei Matthysen and Vuyelwa Mabaso also delivered impressive modern solos, each earning silver medals.

These accolades reflect not only individual talent but also the studio’s collective strength, vision, and commitment to excellence.

🌍 Spain 2026: A journey beyond dance

Representing South Africa on the global stage is more than a competition — it’s a chance for cultural exchange, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. With Spain 2026 on the horizon, Beat Box is launching fundraising initiatives and sponsorship opportunities to help every qualifying dancer make the journey.

The studio remains a beacon for young talent in Carletonville, inspiring the next generation of performers and showing that with discipline, creativity, and community support, dreams really can come true.

Congratulations to all the dancers, studio director Delarize Verwey, and their families. South Africa is proud — and we’ll be cheering you on all the way to Spain 2026!
