Carleton Jones learners support Rotara School with recycling project

This actions shows strong community spirit.

Grade 11 learners from Carleton Jones (CJ) High School recently put their community spirit into action by organising a recycling project to support Rotara School.

Over the past five months, the learners collected various recyclable materials as part of a community outreach initiative. The items will be used by Rotara School to create goods for their annual Christmas Market, which will take place from November 5 to 7.

The CJ learners personally delivered the collected materials to Rotara School on October 24, marking the successful completion of their project.

“We enjoy being part of our community and creating awareness of the community among the learners. I am proud of our learners for volunteering their time and services for this project. Thank you, Grade 11s!” said the school’s spokesperson, Nanette Nieuwenhuizen.

The collaboration not only promotes environmental awareness but also strengthens the bond between local schools and community-based initiatives.
