Carleton Jones learners unite in powerful anti-bullying campaign
The initiative aimed to unite students, promote empathy and inclusivity, and encourage everyone to report bullying.
Learners of Carleton Jones High School held a special anti-bullying campaign recently.
Various learners made special posters to raise awareness about bullying, to make everyone aware that it is not tolerated and what damage it can cause.
These contained information and tips against bullying, as well as slogans such as “be a buddy, not a bully.”
According to the school’s spokesperson, Nanette Nieuwenhuizen, the action aimed to unite learners against bullying and to provide a haven for all. “Our Carleton Jones High School students are taking a stand against bullying, promoting a culture of empathy, respect, and inclusivity. Join us in making our school a haven where everyone feels valued and supported. Report bullying and do not stand by and watch. Together, we can make a difference,” she said, adding the slogan “Kindness is contagious: Spread It everywhere!”
