Blybank resident shot during armed robbery

Police are investigating attempted murder and robbery charges.

A resident of Blybank was shot by attackers on November 30 while standing in a yard on Bulldog Street.

At approximately 02:15, the victim was ambushed by a group of men who shot him and ran into the house.

Once inside, the suspects threatened the residents and pointed firearms at them.

They demanded money and grabbed all the cash and cellphones before fleeing the scene.

The injured resident was rushed to Carletonville Hospital by his friends.

Police suspect that these attackers are the same group that struck at the White House tavern the previous night. Attempted murder and robbery charges are investigated.
