Carletonville Warriors shine at Dr Kenneth Kaunda netball fun day

The Warriors Netball Club from Carletonville delivered a spirited performance at the Dr Kenneth Kaunda Fun Day, securing a semi-final spot and gaining valuable experience against strong teams.

The Warriors Netball Club from Carletonville proved they can hold their own against tough competition. The local side travelled to take part in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda Fun Day on March 7, showing great spirit throughout the event.

Competing in the competitive A-League mixed division, the team battled through a series of tough matches to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The Warriors beat the Panthers 14 – 4 and Young Zebras 10 –9.

They also played against the LA Liga team, losing 4 – 14. The Warriors also lost 10 – 11 against Masekhane and 4 – 9 against NWU Staff.

Club spokesperson Joe Bosch praised the squad’s spirit despite the stiff competition.

“The players enjoyed this a lot even though the games were hard,” he said.
