South African Hip-Hop Museum empowers filmmakers at Gauteng workshop

Newtown event gives aspiring creatives, including Merafong artists, a platform to sharpen storytelling skills.

The South African Hip-hop Museum continues to capture and create history in the entertainment industry after hosting a viewing workshop for filmmakers across Gauteng.

Held on March 7 in Newtown, Johannesburg, the event invited aspiring creators, including several artists from Merafong, to develop their visual storytelling skills.

The museum serves as a vital platform for artists nationwide to gain knowledge about the SA hip-hop movement, and the space is constantly being improved to bring the feeling of authenticity.

Different programmes take place at the space, and local rappers are welcome to attend initiatives.
