Armed gang of eight robs Kokosi tuck shop in early morning attack

Owner held at gunpoint as robbers break through wall, fire shots, and steal cash, groceries, and airtime machines

A resident of East Driefontein had a harrowing experience over the past weekend.

The incident took place on April 11.

The resident was relaxing in her home with friends in Egret Street at approximately 20:45 when she heard a noise at the door. Suddenly, four men rushed in.

The thugs, who spoke Sesotho, all wielded firearms.

They started searching the house and grabbed cellphones, money, as well as bottles of brandy and whiskey that were part of a stokvel.

They then ran into the veld toward Mpahla Village.
