Thieves have recently turned their attention to the new industrial area in Carletonville, targeting local businesses in a string of break-ins.

According to a senior police officer, burglars have forced their way into several premises and are taking anything they can get their hands on, including small items like batteries.

A total of five burglaries in the area have already been reported to the police in Carletonville so far this month. In light of these crimes, authorities are urging business owners to make their premises as secure as possible and to ensure that someone checks the property regularly.
