Repeat house robbery shocks Carletonville Extension 9 residents

Armed suspects stormed a commune-style home in Rautenbach Street, terrorising a mother, child and infant before stealing a television.

House robbers again struck the same house in Rautenbach Street in Carletonville Extension 9 as last week. The crime took place on May 12.

A mother, her daughter and an infant were in the house when three thugs stormed in at about 09:00. Two of the thugs were armed and they spoke Xitsonga and isiXhosa.

They forced the women and child into the sitting room and started to search the house, which functions as a commune with each of the rooms and even the garage being rented out to separate tenants.

The thugs grabbed a Samsung television in one of the rooms and then ran away.

The police in Carletonville are investigating a house robbery.
