Wedela public servants promote wellness at community health day

Police officers, teachers, health officials and local businesses came together for a day of fitness, teamwork and healthy living at Xhobani Primary School.

Various public servants received the opportunity to stretch their legs during a special health day in Wedela.

On May 22 members of the police in Wedela joined other government departments for the health day at Xhobani Primary School.

Teachers from various schools, officials from the Department of Health and some businesses took part.

The highlight of the day was a soccer match between the SAPS and Teachers.

The SAPS managed to win with a score of 5-0. Those present could also take part in other activities such as aerobics.

“It was really a refreshing day for all of us. We need to have more games and more interactions together,” says Wedela’s Social Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Zikhona Sifuba.
