Brotherhood initiative to support and empower Merafong men
First meet-and-greet gathering at Elijah Barayi focuses on building a safe space for men to share challenges, learn, and grow together.
A group of men has taken the initiative to come together in the spirit of brotherhood to create a platform where they can share a safe space and move forward positively.
The first Majita Power Cycle Meet and Greet gathering took place on Saturday, June 6, at the Elijah Barayi mega housing complex, where members had the opportunity to meet one another in person. The session was meaningful, with discussions focusing on the challenges, struggles, and realities that men face daily.
The initiative aims to create a culture of learning, growth, and mutual support among the group. Majita Power Cycle also hosts discussions through a WhatsApp conference call facilitated by Mr Khotatso Morwe, who has been actively involved in leading and supporting the initiative. Throughout the week, participants have engaged in discussions on several interesting topics relevant to manhood.
Mr Morwe expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the first gathering at Elijah Bahai, saying their presence and participation contributed greatly to its success. He also extended special thanks to those who volunteered to serve on the task team that helped create an understanding of the requirements and processes needed to officially register the initiative.
“Your willingness to contribute your time and effort is greatly appreciated,” he said.
He further thanked everyone who made financial contributions towards the event, noting that every contribution, regardless of the amount, helped make the gathering possible and successful.
Mr Morwe encouraged all members to continue supporting the initiative and to attend future sessions and meet-and-greet events.
“Your involvement strengthens our brotherhood and helps us grow together. We appreciate your support, commitment, and presence,” he added.
He expressed hope that the group will continue to grow and build together, and that future gatherings will attract even greater participation.
The Majita Power Cycle is open to men who are interested in becoming part of the initiative. For more information, contact Mr Khotatso Morwe on 081 002 1396.
