In an unusual case this week, a resident managed to drive himself to the hospital even though he was seriously injured.

This incident took place on June 26.

The man (40) arrived at Carletonville Hospital at around 22:40 and asked for help from staff as he had a gunshot wound to his head.

The man was immediately admitted, but he has not been healthy enough to tell police what exactly happened to him.

The police in Carletonville are investigating an attempted murder case.
