Vibration Taylor joins Merafong artists to support Wedela school fundraiser

Merafong artist and radio host Vibration Taylor is joining fellow entertainers for a fundraising event at Wedela Technical High School on September 4, aimed at helping repair damage caused by vandalism.

Merafong artist and radio host Vibration Taylor is joining forces with fellow local artists and DJs to support a fundraising event aimed at helping restore Wedela Technical High School.

The fundraising event will take place at the school on September 4 following concerns about the deteriorating condition of the facility after it was vandalised. The damage includes broken windows, stolen electrical cables and damaged water pipes.

Taylor, who is passionate about giving back to the community, said the condition of the school is concerning because it directly affects learners.

He is among several entertainers from across Merafong who have committed to taking part in the event. The artists hope their contribution will help raise funds to repair the school while encouraging other stakeholders to support the initiative.

Taylor said he is proud to be involved because restoring the school could make a meaningful difference to learners and future generations.

“I believe it is important as an artist to contribute towards saving the school,” he said.

Taylor is also a radio host on Merafong 360 Radio, where he provides a platform for local artists and community members.

He is currently preparing for his own Kasi Jam Show, which will take place at Batswaneng Park on September 26. The event developed from a series of Kasi Jam Sessions held earlier this year and aims to celebrate hardworking artists and entrepreneurs from across Merafong.

“This particular event is about celebrating and restoring the dignity of local artists,” Taylor said.

For the September 4 school fundraiser, Taylor will be joined by a line-up of entertainers, including Danger Maqhuzu, Tee Pee Dot Com, Smokie, DJ Aish Chzek, Black Swegga, Tvll Beast, Nyb, Mexico, DJ L-E Matiye, Bruise the Giant, Kingdom Knights and Delewa Disciple.

Taylor was also recently selected as one of the Merafong Arts Ambassadors representing local artists under the West Corridor, one of five arts corridors in Gauteng.

Through his various initiatives, Taylor hopes to inspire young people from disadvantaged communities to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams and use their talents to make a positive difference.
