Wedela Technical High School fundraiser to tackle vandalism damage

Merafong artists and DJs unite for a fundraising event on 4 September to help repair vandalised school facilities.

Wedela Technical High School will host a fundraising event on 4 September to raise funds to repair damage caused by vandalism and restore the school to a functional state.

The school has experienced significant vandalism, resulting in broken windows, stolen electrical cables and damaged water pipes. The fundraising initiative aims to address these challenges and create a better environment for learners and staff.

Several artists and DJs from Merafong will join forces with the school as part of the rebuilding initiative. The entertainers have committed to supporting the school in an effort to empower learners and help secure a brighter future for the next generation.

The organisers are calling on sponsors, community leaders, investors and local businesses to contribute in any way they can towards restoring the school.

The fundraising event will feature performances by Danger Mqhuzu, Vibration Taylor, Tee Pee Dot Com, Smokie, DJ Aish Chzek, Black Swegga, TvllBeast, Nyb, Mexico, J L-E Matiye, Bruise the Giant, Kingdom Knights and Delewa Disciple.

The school hopes that the community will come together to support the initiative, demonstrating how small contributions can make a meaningful difference in rebuilding Wedela Technical High School.
