Carletonville police recently joined a major Women’s Day celebration held at the Abe Bailey Nature Reserve.

Organised by Ms Tonto Violet Maduenyane, the four-day event aimed to empower women, educate them on domestic violence, gender-based violence, and femicide, and show how to reduce abuse, identify warning signs, and support victims.

Sergeant Thabo Mathebula, the Carletonville SAPS Domestic Violence Co-ordinator, represented the police at the gathering.

Several guest speakers addressed the attendees, including professional business, leadership, and career coach Ms Amanda Majapelo; Ms Blessing Ramphomane from the Black Ladies Organisation; Ms Masechaba Siphuru, who discussed notable women from the Bible; and Ms Tshepiso Tsagaane.

Ms Tsagaane spoke on empowering women and teaching them about energy, frequency, and vibration to help them claim their inheritance.

Alongside the talks, the programme featured games and musical celebrations.
