A passionate young model from Carletonville is on a mission to transform the lives of local youths after achieving double success in a national pageant.

Relebohile Khabane was recently crowned Queen and named Miss Social Impact in the Miss Teen Entrepreneur South Africa competition. Having grown up in the area and attending Laer Gedenkskool Danie Theron alongside Carletonville High School, she credits her pageant journey with developing her confidence, leadership, and communication skills.

She emphasises that pageantry extends far beyond physical beauty, focusing instead on purpose, using one’s voice, and driving community impact.

“I have always been passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people, especially girls.

I believe that young people should be encouraged to believe in themselves, value education, discover their talents, and understand that their circumstances do not define their future,” says Relebohile.

Her personal motto, “Educate a child, elevate a nation,” highlights her belief that investing in young people secures the country’s future.

Looking ahead, Relebohile aims to give back to her hometown through mentorship and confidence programmes for young girls, education advocacy, hygiene drives, and support for vulnerable children.

“I also want to use my platform to encourage young people in Carletonville to dream bigger and understand that they can achieve great things regardless of where they come from,” says Relebohile.
