A group of armed thugs stole copper cable in the Fochville area this week.

As far as could be determined, two Transnet security personnel were on guard at the Fochville Railway Station on September 26.

At approximately 01:35, a group of about 14 thugs stormed them.

The attackers fired several shots, and the security personnel ran to nearby bushes for cover.

They had no choice but to hide away while the thugs stole copper cables.
