A star teacher from Kokosi has been rewarded once again for her hard work.

Ms Dipuo Qube, who leads Soul Buddyz at Kokosi Primary School, was recently awarded the Best Educator of the Year in the Gauteng West region. She shared this year’s award with Tshidi Gaserotse from the Malerato Primary School Soul Buddyz initiative in Mohlakeng, Randfontein.

In addition, Qube was a finalist in the provincial leg of the 2026 National Teaching Awards.

The dedicated teacher previously won the regional award as the best Soul Buddyz educator in 2025.

Furthermore, Kokosi Primary’s Soul Buddyz group won the awards for the best care of the vulnerable and the best appreciation by learners at the Kool 2B South African National Flag Colours of National Pride Patriotism Awards for Social Cohesion earlier this year.
