A 23-year-old woman was raped on September 27 after enjoying a night out with friends at a tavern in Kokosi.

Under the influence of liquor, she arrived home at 00:30 accompanied by five female friends and two male friends.

According to reports, she woke up the next morning and realised that her underwear was on her knees and that she had been raped.

She asked her mother if she knew anything, but her mother also did not know who penetrated her.

The woman reported the case to the police, who took her to Carletonville Hospital.

The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit is currently investigating the case.
