‘Sip and paint’ in Carletonville

The organiser decided to hold this type of event herself rather than travelling to another town for it.

A Sip and Paint event took place at Carletonville on October 31.

The action was an initiative by a creative resident that was inspired by the personal desire of a young woman from Carletonville who has created her own movement called “Hopes Collective Experiences”.

She mentioned that living in a small town, she often wished that she had more opportunities to experience different, exciting and meaningful social events without having to travel elsewhere. She wanted to experience these kinds of events herself
and that desire eventually inspired her to create something of her own.

“I realized that instead of waiting for someone else to bring these experiences to our town, I could take the initiative and
create them,’’ she says.

What started as a personal dream became an opportunity to bring people together, create memorable moments and introduce different experiences to the community.

Through Hope’s Collective Experiences, the woman hopes to contribute to making Carletonville more vibrant by creating spaces where people can connect, celebrate, explore their creativity and simply enjoy life.

“My vision is simple: people in smaller communities deserve beautiful experiences too, they shouldn’t always have to travel to bigger cities to enjoy something special,” the organiser concluded.

The ladies got to relax, network and connect by being creative through painting for the day which something exciting and different.
