Merafong FM celebrated its second anniversary with a gala dinner at the Carletonville Lapa on Sunday, 29 October.
Among the guest speakers was Jimmy Makgatho from LCJ Lifestyle who spoke about the partnership between
the company and Merafong FM. Another was Abby Malefo from MPPF (Merafong Progressive Partnership Forum
who spoke about local NGOs’ use of radio as a means of communication. Sbu Khumalo gave an inspiring speech and Ernest Morape spoke on behalf of the local businesses. There were also performances by artists like Shudu and Mavahatar. ‘The station is celebrating the growth and progress it has made so far,’ said Merafong FM’s CEO, Alone Pilusa. ‘The station is looking forward to cutting the ribbon for new studios early next year.’gladiator
