Robbers strike liquor store

A liquor store in Carletonville was the scene of an armed robbery last weekend.

According to the police in Carletonville, the incident happened at Overland Liquor in the Shoprite complex in the early hours of Saturday, 28 November.
A security guard was on duty when three unknown men approached him at around 01:30. Before he could call for help, the men overpowered him and tied him up. They dragged him to the nearby veld and left him there.
The robbers went back to the business, broke in and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
