House robbers strike near tennis court

House robbers targeted a house near the tennis courts in Carletonville last week.

According to the Carletonville police, the residents of the house in Orpiment Road were still up watching television at around 22:00 on Sunday, 31 January when the incident took place. Four armed men suddenly burst in and grabbed them and tied them up. The suspects were all wearing masks and gloves. They then took the television they were watching, cell phones and shoes before fleeing. As the victims were still tied up, they could not identify the make of the vehicle in which the thugs escaped. The police suspect that these robbers are the same ones who attacked a couple in Pongola Street earlier that evening.
