New CEO for Carletonville Hospital

Carletonville Hospital has a permanent CEO again.

Mr Josias Naidoo has been appointed in this position by the West Rand District Health Services.

According to the West Rand Health spokesperson, Ms Nomagugu Hloma, Naidoo brings nearly
two decades of experience as a Clinician, and holds a degree in Audiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal as well as an MBA in Health Management from the European Business School based in Spain.
Mr. Naidoo has additionally completed the board governance and directorship training at the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.
The Executive and Clinical Manager for West Rand Health District, Dr. Nicholas Mwangi, who was acting on behalf of the West Rand Health District Chief Director, Ms. Thembokuhle Karigani, welcomed the new CEO and cited the fact that the District needs to be taken to new heights
which can be achieved through employing the best in the health sector.
Other stakeholders who welcome the incoming CEO includes the Hospital management, Organised Labour, the head of the District Clinical Specialist Team, Dr. Geogy Abrahams and the Deputy Director of Human Resources in the Health District, Mr. Andrew Tiro.
Dr. Mwangi further appreciated the role played by the Nursing Services Manager, Ms. Mpho Makosholo who has been acting in the position of CEO for the past six months.
The new CEO promised that he will hit the ground running in identifying challenges for proper solutions and highlighted that he cannot wait to work with every stakeholder to achieve the strategic goals of the institution for the benefit of the people that the hospital serves.
