Accident claims one life
The accident occurred on the road between Carletonville and Welverdiend.
The Carletonville police are looking for more information about a fatal accident over the past weekend.
The crash occurred on the night of Sunday, 21 April. As far as could be determined, a family was driving back from the Eastern Cape to their home in Welverdiend.
Near the Khutsong Extension 5 bridge, a Nissan bakkie turned into the road in front of them.
The two collided head-on, and the bakkie driver died. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The police are investigating culpable homicide.
