Abbotts College celebrates academics

On Tuesday December 10, Abbotts College Johannesburg South, hosted their Academic Awards ceremony.

SUIDEROORD –  This prestigious ceremony was held to celebrate and recognise the dedicated efforts and hard work of their top Grade 10 and 11 students of 2014.

“We would like to congratulate all the recipients with their awards. These young individuals can stand up and feel proud of the success that has come from the dedication and determination they have shown in their work. As award recipients they know what success means because they have devoted themselves to accomplishing the academic goals which they set for themselves”, says Willem van Zyl, Principal of Abbotts College Johannesburg South.

We are proud to congratulate the following grade 10 students with their awards:  Naseeha Seedat
DUX student grade 10, mathematics 1st place (80 %), Afrikaans 1st place (85 %).

Ntsengo Mkansi, student award: this award is nominated by their peers and allocated to the student who best portrays a true Abbotts College student, accounting 1st place (85 %) and life sciences 1st place (88 %).

Zane Louw, principal’s award: this award is nominated by their teachers and allocated to the student who best portrays a true Abbotts College student, business studies 1st place (84 %), physical sciences 1st Place (86 %) and English first language 1st place (89 %).

Thandokuhle Ndlovu, isiZulu 1st place (83 %); Kyle Pather, life orientation 1st place (85 %).

We are proud to congratulate the following Grade 11 students with their awards: Habbeebah Rassool, DUX student grade 11, principals award: this award is nominated by their teachers and allocated to the student who best portrays a true Abbotts College, mathematics 1st place (89 %), accounting 1st place (99 %) and life orientation 1st place (96 %).

Prahlad Dhawakieram, student award: this award is nominated by their peers and allocated to the student who best portrays a true Abbotts College student.

Ammaarah Gani, drama 1st place (80%), geography 1st place (80%) and business studies 1st place (97%).

Lorona Ganess, life sciences 1st place (91%), physical sciences 1st place (85%).

Hima Rama, English first language 1st place (91%).

Simphiwe Mahlangu, Zulu first additional language 1st place (88%).

Lungile Madi, economics 1st place (86%).
