HARTFORD College opened in January 2009 and it is a small private co-educational, pre- and primary school and is a registered member of the Independent Schools Association (ISASA).
Due to growing demand, Hartford College extended its pre-primary phase in January 2017, to cater for grade 000 to grade 0 (three years to six years). Research indicates children cultivate 85 per cent of their intellect, personality and skills by the age of five, thus making these early years a crucial time for learning. It follows a structured age appropriate curriculum that is enriched with Montessori equipment and the classrooms and grounds are customised to allow children the freedom to learn through ‘guided play’ in a safe and regulated environment. Classes are also kept small. Experienced, supportive teachers are on hand to see children receive maximum benefit from the ‘enriched’ pre-school environment, ensuring pre-school children a smooth transition to grade one at Hartford College Primary School.
Applications for grade 00 and grade 000 for 2018 will open in August 2017. Please go to www.hartfordcollege.co.za or call 011 681 6077.
