Ricky finds a new home

He was in a terrible condition and sure had not had a good start to life.

Ricky was about eight weeks old when he arrived with an almost 90cm laceration around his waist at JSPCA at the end of May.

He was in a terrible condition and sure had not had a good start to life.

After nearly three weeks in the veterinary hospital, Ricky was allowed to learn how to socialise with other pups.

“We were hopeful for a quick rehoming for Ricky, but due to lockdown and other delays, Ricky stayed in our kennels for another month,” said Liana Marx from JSPCA.

“One morning Daniel Bass came through to our kennels and fell in love with Ricky. We did our best to get the home inspection done as quickly as possible so Ricky could go home. Four days later, Ricky was heading home to complete a new family,” said Marx.
