Uncle Baboo and Crew to the rescue
Uncle Baboo and Crew always assist the community of the South where possible.
On October 19, people braved not only a cold day but also one with much stress due to no electricity.
Again, Uncle Baboo and Crew became a ray of light to the elderly of Annie Burger Retirement Village.
They cooked a dheg of chicken akhni and distributed it to the elderly residents at the retirement village. Uncle Baboo said the elderly were weary and stressed due to having no power since the previous night.
“Having a hot meal brought great relief and smiles to them. We thank our generous sponsors and Baboo’s Crew for all their efforts today,” Uncle Baboo said.
The outage occurred around 20:30 after Robertsham Substation caught fire, plunging the area into darkness.
