National Shotokan karate championship hosted by Alberton club

The South African Shotokan Karate Academy recently held its national championship in Pretoria.
The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club from Alberton was responsible for hosting the event, which was well attended by clubs from all over the province and the country.
The competition was extremely tough and divisions closely contended but all 36 students from the Cobras Karate Club outdid themselves and returned home with a total of 42 medals (16 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze).

The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club train at Ascot Mews (19 Heidelberg Avenue, Newmarket) on Monday and Wednesday from 17:30 to 18:.30 (beginner classes) and 18:30 to 19:30 (advanced classes).
