Youth, kick-start your careers with Believers Care Society
The new intake is now open for accredited training
Believers Care Society Youth Development Centre (BCS) is inviting the youth to register for the November intake of accredited skills development training programme at no cost.
The programme is already supported by the Gauteng Department of Social Development.
As the youth unemployment and poverty deepens, BCS continues to mitigate the impact by ensuring that all the youth have an equal opportunity to gain needed employable and economic skills.
In addition, BCS provides lunch to all learners in training as well as transportation to its learning centres, with pickup points at Johannesburg Gandhi Square.
Learner social support need is achieved through the in-house social workers who provide the needed interventions. The youth participates in leadership development programmes through moral instruction sessions and community volunteering services.
Registration is now open and closes on November 10. Classes resume on November 15.
Courses available:
Office skills/administration, end-user computing, project management, mobile engineering (Comptia. A+ certification), contact centre support/ call centre course, computerised bookkeeping/ pastel accounting, graphics and multimedia design, Cisco IT essentials (Cisco certification), business management and administration.
A certificate of competence is issued after the successful completion of the course.
Requirements:
Certified copy of ID, proof of residence or police affidavit confirming the address, short CV and previous qualification, all certified. Duration is three months, six months and 12 months respectively, from Monday to Friday for four hours each day. Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to.
To qualify, you must be between 18 and 35 years, have matric or equivalent, Grade 10s and 11s are also taken and must be willing to study and to complete training/project duration. Only unemployed and unskilled youth are accepted.
